2. Provision of the Website

When using the website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us (e.g. via a contact form), we collect the following technical information (log file data):
  • Operating system of the device used to access our website
  • Browser (type, version, and language settings)
  • Amount of data retrieved
  • Current IP address of the device used to access our website
  • Date and time of access
  • URL of the previously visited website (referrer)
  • URL of the (sub-)page accessed on the website

The collection of this data is technically necessary to display our website and to ensure stability and security. As a rule, we (and our service provider) do not know who is behind an IP address. The above data is not merged with other data sources.
 
The legal basis for storing data/log files is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Storage in log files ensures the proper functioning of the website and serves to improve and secure our systems. Any further evaluation of this data (e.g. for marketing purposes) does not take place in this context. The data stored by Datenlotsen Education Systems GmbH will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, at the latest after six weeks. Further storage is possible; in this case, the IP addresses of users are deleted or anonymized so that the accessing client can no longer be identified.


3. Application Process

For applications, we use the services of our partner rexx systems GmbH, Süderstraße 75–79, 20097 Hamburg, Germany. rexx systems processes application data on behalf of Datenlotsen Education Systems GmbH. Your information will, of course, be used exclusively for processing your application. During the application process, personal data about you will be processed, which may vary depending on the vacancy. The legal basis for processing your personal data within the application process is Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(a), (b), and (f) GDPR. If no employment contract is concluded, your personal data will be deleted six months after completion of the application process unless you have expressly consented to longer storage.

This website uses so-called “cookies” to make the website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer system. Some cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system; these are usually so-called “session cookies,” which are automatically deleted after you close your browser. 5. Contact Form and Email

Our website provides a contact form for easy communication. The data entered into the form is transmitted to and stored by Datenlotsen Education Systems GmbH. Additionally, the user’s IP address, as well as the date and time of transmission, are stored at the time of submission. Alternatively, you may contact us via the provided email address. In this case, the personal data transmitted with the email will be stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties and will be used exclusively to process your inquiry. The legal basis for processing the data with user consent is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The legal basis for processing data transmitted by email is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If the email contact aims at concluding a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data will be deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, i.e. when the conversation with the user has ended.


6. Transfer of Personal Data / Recipients

Personal data is generally not transferred to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so, the transfer is required to perform a contractual relationship, or you have explicitly consented. Data is only shared with affiliated companies and service providers acting on our behalf in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. These service providers receive only the personal data necessary for their specific task and are prohibited from using it for other purposes. We aim to process your data within the EU/EEA. If service providers outside the EU/EEA are used, we ensure an adequate level of data protection through appropriate safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses or binding corporate rules.


7. Matomo

This website uses the web analytics software Matomo for marketing and optimization purposes. Usage profiles are created under a pseudonym using cookies. The collected data (including anonymized IP addresses) is transmitted to our server and stored for analysis to optimize our website. The data is not used to personally identify visitors and is not merged with other personal data. You can prevent the use of cookies via your browser settings, though this may limit website functionality. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Data collection and storage only occur with explicit consent.

There is no obligation to provide your personal data. The provision of your personal data is voluntary and, in particular, has no impact on your application process.

Automated decision-making, in particular an automated decision regarding your application, or profiling does not take place.

d) Information on the right to withdraw consent

Pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you. In the event of your objection to processing for the purposes of direct advertising, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes. Please note that the objection only takes effect for the future. Processing operations carried out before the objection are not affected by this.

e) Right in the event of data processing for the purpose of direct advertising

Pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you. In the event of your objection to processing for the purposes of direct advertising, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes. Please note that the objection only takes effect for the future. Processing operations carried out before the objection are not affected by this.

f) Notice of the right to object in the case of a balancing of interests

Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on a balancing of interests, you may object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to set out the reasons why we should not process your personal data as described by us. In the event of your substantiated objection, we will examine the situation and will either discontinue or adjust the data processing or explain to you our compelling legitimate grounds.
